In an effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, Douglas County Health Officer Dr. Thomas Marcellino issued a “Stay at Home” order on March 22. The order remains in effect until April 23, unless otherwise amended. Douglas County officials earlier restricted public access to all Douglas County buildings, effective March 19, until further notice and prohibited public gatherings in the county of more than 10 people.
The DCARC General Meeting on April 8, 2020, will be conducted virtually via Zoom. The Zoom platform will allow members to very easily participate over various platforms, including web-browser, smartphone or dial-in. While normal lines of communication are not expected to be affected during this pandemic, there is always the possibility that assistance by ham radio operators may be needed. This is a good opportunity to check your gear to ensure that you are ready just in case.
